It's too hot to sleep upstairs
The walls sweat off their paint
and it hangs in the air
And the first floor is too cold
It finds any inch of uncovered skin
wraps around it, molds
And you know that it'll be that way
so you sit there in your car
glaring at the key in the ignition
waiting to be told
